Here comes The Electric Lady ya'll!! Janelle Monáe revealed her sophomore album's release date through Instagram's new video feature. Fancy shmancy!
We've already heard a taste of The Electric Lady, arriving September 10, via the funky first single "Q.U.E.E.N." featuring Erykah Badu. To celebrate the impending date, Monae dropped the appropriately dancey new track "Dance Apocalyptic."
Earlier this month, Monáe told Billboard her new record also included collabs with Miguel and Prince. Speaking of the Purple One, a remix he crafted of "Q.U.E.E.N." leaked on the web. As almost any music blog will tell you, it's nearly vanished from the Internet, but you can still hear the remix, with Prince's reworked, wonky synths and snaps, for now.
So, less than three months until The Electric Lady drops... take your time, Janelle. It's not like we've been waiting for this since January or anything.
