Mumford & Sons Bassist Suffers Blood Clot, Undergoes Brain Surgery
Mumford & Sons bassist Ted Dwane has suffered a blood clot and undergone emergency brain surgery, forcing the band to postpone three concerts.
"Ted has been feeling unwell for a few days," the band wrote in a note. "Yesterday he was taken to a hospital to receive emergency treatment. The scans revealed a blood clot on the surface of his brain that requires an operation."
"Ted is receiving excellent care and we are being assured he will recover quickly from surgery."
The group are postponing three headlining shows this week in Dallas (on June 11), Woodlands, TX (June 12) and New Orleans (June 13). All dates will be rescheduled with a tix honored at the rescheduled dates. There are no plans to cancel or postpone any other shows.
Get well soon, Ted!
