Madonna Was Mad Nile Rodgers Didn't Want to Bone Her in the '80s
Funk master and FODP (Friend of Daft Punk) Nile Rodgers once turned down Madonna... as in didn't have sex with her. He was not DTF.
Speaking to the Sun, Rodgers opened up about a would-be romantic encounter from their days of working together back in the '80s—Rodgers co-produced Madonna's infamous 1984 album Like A Virgin.
"I was standing at an elevator when [Madonna] goes, 'Why don't you want to f-ck me?' I was like, 'What did you just say to me?'" Rodgers continued. "She was wondering why I had not propositioned her. She couldn’t understand that. It was like, 'Everybody wants me.'"
As for why he didn't bed the about-to-be biggest pop star in the world, Rodgers said, "One time I slept with a really beautiful artist I was working with and it was a really wrong thing to do. So, I didn’t work like that." In other words, he just wasn't that into her?
No worries, though. Something tells us Madonna has gotten over the rejection. And by "something" we mean "worldwide superstardom and record-breaking success."
