When Lizzie Grant became the sultry, smoky-eyed vixen Lana Del Rey (A.K.A. gangsta Nancy Sinatra) it was clear from the start that she was created to star in a Barbarella-esque B movie. And now she will get to live out her purpose in more than just a 3-minute music video.

The "Born to Die" singer took to Twitter to break the news of her upcoming short film debut with this simple statement:

"TROPICO - a 30 minute film coming to a city near your. Premier dates coming soon. Lots of Love, Lana Del Rey"

Oh, and she also tweeted this movie poster. It features the pouty-lipped siren standing naked—save for some well-placed leaves—staring down through her false eyelashes at a sinister (but prob totally harmless) snake slithering in her hands.

The words "TROPICO" in a wacky Creature From the Black Lagoon-type font are splashed across the top.

Lana's co-star in the film will be Shaun Ross, the unmistakable albino male model who rose to fame with parts in Beyonce ("Party") and Katy Perry ("E.T.") music vids. Gangsta Nancy Sinatra's very pale love interest?

According to the poster, the film is being sold as "a tale of redemption told to the music of body electric God's and monster's bel air [sic]."

Not so coincidentally, "Body Electric," "Gods And Monsters" and "Bel Air" are all tracks from 2012's Paradise EP. So, the soundtrack for Tropico will likely be plucked from Paradise

The Paradise connections continue with the producers billed on the movie. They include Rick Nowels, Tim Larcombe, Dan Heath and (fresh off Yeezus) hip hop mad-scientist Rick Rubin—all of whom worked on the EP.

No word on who the villain to Del Rey's Tropico heroine will be. We can only hope they're holding out for Lady Gaga.
