Fact: Despite Smashing Pumpkins' musical chairs lineup, frontman Billy Corgan's alt-rock band absolutely slay live. Original but long departed bassist D'arcy, guitarist James Iha and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin's replacements are seriously talented musicians, and here's the honest truth: The crowd came to see the main attrition, Corgan and Corgan alone, wail on his Fender guitar and hear his nasally snarl on those timeless alt classics.

Lucky for us, then, because the band are releasing a new live DVDOceania: Live in NYC arrives September 3. It was filmed on the band's tour behind their last album, Oceania, during a December 10 gig at Brooklyn's Barclays Center (which was original slated for Halloween, but delayed due to Hurricane Sandy). It'll arrive in four formats: standard DVD, a 3D Blu-ray DVD, a Deluxe 2CD+DVD set and as a digital download. As a press release notes, the DVD and Blu-ray both feature the full show, plus a photo gallery and interviews with the lighting director and stage producer.

The Pumpkins performed their entire new album at the BK show, then delivered the classics and fan favorites during the second half. There's even a cover of Bowie's "Space Oddity." Check out the complete tracklist below, then watch live studio footage of SP covering "Space Oddity" to hold ya over.
