Icona Pop Go Glitch Pop on New Song "My Party"

In case banging Icona Pop records like "I Love It," "Girlfriend" and "All Night" weren't making the message clear, the Swedish duo's This Is... Icona Pop LP is going to be an essential party soundtrack. "My Party," the latest track revealed off the September 20 album, is another joint for a night out... but perhaps the point when it's getting a little too late and things start getting weird.

Over a glitched-out pop production, Icona Pop incorporate a chant-like delivery instead of the straightforward shout along lines heard in signature hit "I Love It." Bloops and bleeps are mixed with samples of the girls giggling all over a thumping industrial beat. The chorus is still easy to singalong to, sampling the '60s No. 1 hit, and karaoke classic, "It's My Party" by Lesley Gore.

The DJ duo also recruited NYC-based rapper Zebra Katz to lay a few verses on the bridge. While we're all about the girl power Icona Pop bring to their bangers, it's nice to hear the ladies switch it up and bring a dude to their pop party.
