Thanks to TMZ and the inescapable lure of voyeurism, we can now peruse the allegedly threatening emails Jack White sent his estranged wife Karen Elson before she served him with a restraining order—and we learn White really hates Black Keys frontman Dan Auerbach.

The private email exchanges TMZ published online aren't quite as rage-filled as we'd been led to believe (White is badgering more than he's threatening), but they do reveal the extent of his distaste for fellow Nashville resident Auerbach.

In one email, White explained why he doesn't want his children attending the same school as Auerbach's daughter.

"My concern with Auerbach is because I don’t want the kids involved in any of that crap... That's a possible twelve years I'm going to have to be sitting in kids chairs next to that a--hole with other people trying to lump us in together," White wrote. "He gets yet another free reign to follow me around and copy me and push himself into my world."

Although the idea of White and Auerbach awkwardly sitting next to each other during parent-teacher conferences—silently seething as they precariously perch on first-graders' chairs—makes us chuckle, the actual emails TMZ published are all-too-real and depressing. But if you're an unrepentant voyeur, you can read them here.

Bonus Beef: White also reportedly criticized Elson for attending the wedding of another musician he says ripped him off. And while the papers didn't name that musician, it's worth noting Elson was present at the wedding of Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney last year.
