Justin Timberlake's New Album Will Feature Drake & (Duh) Jay Z
Hot off his jaw-dropping set at the 2013 VMAs—featuring the return of 'N Sync!—Justin Timberlake is bringing our attention back to his solo career with the news that Drake and Jay Z will be on his upcoming sequel album.
While the Jay "reveal" is no surprise, Drake's presence is a welcome bit of news, especially given that Drake can sing as adeptly as he can spit. We'll have to wait until The 20/20 Experience: 2 of 2 drops on September 30 to see which route Drizzy goes.
JT also released a two-minute preview video that reveals his state of mind while writing The 20/20 Experience: 2 of 2. "If you're lucky enough to be able to wait [to make music only when] it inspires you, then you owe it to yourself to do it when it's the only thing you can think about when you wake up in the middle of the night," Timberlake said. "That sense of desperation is what brings out passion. And really, passion to me is all that matters."
Watch the album teaser above and ask yourself whether the shot with Timberlake and producer Timbaland banging their heads in unison is an intentional homage to A Night at the Roxbury or just a hilarious coincidence.
