Katy Perry is taking the word "teaser" to new extremes with the rollout promo for her new single "Roar."
First, the SoCal pop star burned her iconic blue wig in the debut trailer for the Prism single, out August 12. In the next clip, she attended the funeral for her Teenage Dream persona, burying a casket draped in a peppermint candy dress from the California Dreams Tour. Then, in the third teaser clip, a meowing cat ate a feathery toy and belted a Lion-esque roar to a five-second snippet of the track.
Now the fourth teaser for "Roar" has arrived, previewing 15 seconds of the track while Perry looks fierce in the recording studio, wearing an '80s-style jacket emblazoned with a tiger. The snippet confirms two things: 1) The song is even catchier than expected, and 2) Perry is literally roaring, belting like never before over stomping beats and glistening production.
While we await the single's arrival on Monday, check out its tiger-inspired cover artwork, which Perry unveiled on Twitter Thursday. Meow!
