Pusha T Declares Himself "Best Rapper Living" on "Sweet Serenade"
When Kendrick Lamar called out his hip hop contemporaries on Big Sean's "Control," Pusha T responded on Twitter with "I hear you loud and clear." The Bronx native's response arrives in the form of new single "Sweet Serenade," a collabo with Chris Brown.
Over Swizz Beatz's drum 'n' bass production, the Clipse member spits self-celebratory verses and drops fierce lines on the bridge: "My Ouija board don't ever lie to me / The best rapper living, I know who's alive to me / The competition's all but died to me / I make these motherf-ckers hide from me."
Meanwhile on the chrous, Breezy toasts to the good life, "Man it feels good / Everything is right / Energy is strong enough / To brighten city lights."
Though originally set to release in early 2013, news came last week that Pusha's forthcoming My Name Is My Name LP was pushed up to October 8. In April, the rapper told Fuse it will feature Kanye West, Pharrell, The-Dream and many more guests. Watch that interview below.
