Ron Howard's Jay Z Film 'Made in America' Gets Film Fest Debut
Ron Howard is bringing Made in America, his upcoming documentary about Jay Z and the rapper's Made in America festival, to the Toronto International Film Festival next month, according to the BBC.
Howard told the Hollywood Reporter last summer that the movie would be less a concert film and more a "reflection of the fabric of what it means to be Made in America—what the festival represents, why Jay is doing it and how he relates to each artist."
This year's festival takes place August 31 and September 1 in Philadelphia and features performances by Beyonce, Nine Inch Nails, Deadmau5, Phoenix, Calvin Harris and Queens of the Stone Age, among others.
No word on if that fabled menorah that Jay Z borrowed will make the final cut.
