Arsenio Hall Books Nas, Ice Cube, Mac Miller for TV Comeback
It's been nearly 20 years since The Arsenio Hall Show ended a five-year run with its final episode in 1994, but the affable actor/talk show host returns next Monday to revive the popular '90s show. Arsenio always had huge musical guests drawing on every genre, but for his comeback week, the host keeps it hip hop, booking Nas, Ice Cube and Mac Miller to perform. According to Allhiphop, Kendrick Lamar, Big Sean, 2 Chainz and Nick Cannon are all confirmed as future guests.
But don't expect hip hop to always rule the show. Producer Chris McDonald told Billboard (via In the Mix), "We want to be the first late night show to showcase EDM. Other shows can't quite figure out how to translate that to TV. It's going to be tough, but we're coming up with ways to pull it off." No specific guests have been announced.
Let's just hope Arsenio stays as far away from Barry Manilow this time as possible:
