Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolboy Q Perform 2 Tracks on 'Arsenio Hall'
As we noted earlier this month, the recent re-emergence of the Arsenio Hall Show means another platform for artists like Nas, Mac Miller and Ice Cube to promote their work. Last night, the host welcomed Kendrick Lamar and ScHoolboy Q to the show, with Lamar performing "m.A.A.d. City" and the duo showcasing Schoolboy's "Collard Greens."
"The question I get most from journalists and friends is, 'When did I know it was time to come back?,'" said the host. "One reason is because I heard a brother from Compton spit and I said to myself, 'Not only am I coming back, but I can't wait to say, 'Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Kendrick Lamar.'"
Check out the aggressive, hard rock version of "m.A.A.d. City" above and watch Lamar reminisce about seeing the filming of Dr. Dre and Tupac's "California Love" video below.
