Are you under 40? Then prepare to have your mind blown. Not only is 52-year-old E.G. Daily the actress who played Dottie in Pee-wee's Big Adventure AND the voice of Tommy Pickles on Rugrats, but she auditioned on The Voice last night. So yeah: Tommy Pickles sang Faith Hill's "Breathe" on a reality TV singing competition. The world is a bizarre place.
Thanks to the 52-year-old actress' raspy, rather incredible singing voice, she had Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton vying for her to join their teams. Despite Xtina's exhortations, Daily went with Shelton, which means we can expect more of Dottie/Tommy singing country ballads in upcoming episodes.
BTW, '80s fetishists are probably already familiar with E.G. Daily. She sang the New Wave title track to John Cusack's cult classic Better Off Dead and also stripped down in Valley Girl for Nicolas Cage. So if you've ever wanted to see Tommy Pickles' breasts, you should 1) See a therapist 2) Watch Valley Girl.
