This summer, actor-turned-rapper Childish Gambino (aka Donald Glover) announced that he'd be taking time off from his day job on the NBC sitcom Community to spend more time making music. Today, Gambino dropped a new single.
The "Heartbeat" rapper uploaded the new song, "Yaphet Kotto," to his Tumblr, a fitting move seeing as his new album is titled Because the Internet. This is the same guy who's rapped about meeting girls on Twitter—he owes the Internet a lot.
Because the Internet will be out during "winter break" of this year, according to Gambino, and it's the second album he'll be releasing via Glassnote Records. The rapper signed with the buzzy record company in 2011 after his song "Freaks and Geeks" went viral.
