Killers Frontman Brandon Flowers Plans New Solo Album
Prepare for lots of glitter and feathered jackets: Brandon Flowers, frontman for Las Vegas rockers the Killers, will return with his second solo album in 2015, NME reports.
Flowers plans to spend 2014 recording the follow-up to his 2010 debut, Flamingo, at home in Sin City. "I'm excited about going home. I'm looking forward to having a normal year. But I'm going to write. I'm going to be filing those diamonds, it's my job," says Flowers. He adds: "I'm just going to put my heart and soul into my solo record."
The Killers are currently touring in support of their latest album, Battle Born, and are preparing for the release of a greatest hits compilation, called Direct Hits, which arrives November 11 with a pair of new tracks: "Shot at the Night," recorded with M83's Anthony Gonzales (listen now), and "Just Another Girl," produced with the band's longtime collaborator Stuart Price. A video for "Shot at the Night," filmed in the group's home town and starring The Social Network's Max Minghella, recently arrived.
