Looks like November's shaping up to be quite the month for Lady Gaga. Weeks after her highly-anticipated new album ARTPOP drops on the 11th, the popstar gets to star alongside some pretty big names (Kermit! Miss Piggy! Fozzie!) for a holiday special.
The "Applause" singer will be joining the fuzzy crew for a 90-minute show airing on ABC on November 28 (Thanksgiving) called "Lady Gaga & the Muppets' Holiday Spectacular."
"I was so excited when ABC called me about doing a holiday special this year," Gaga said in a statement. "I knew it just wouldn't be a complete night of laughter and memories without the Muppets!"
"Can't wait to see the gang again, and I hope Miss Piggy's still not mad about Kermit. We're just friends!"
Also joining in on the fun are Sir Elton John, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and RuPaul—they are all dueting with muppets. The highlight of the night: Gaga and Kermit's rendition of dance-track "Applause."
The Mother Monster's excitement isn't too surprising. She and the muppets go way back. Did you already forget that it was one Kermit the Frog that escorted the star to the 2009 VMAs?!!!
Gaga even admitted to MTV at the time that she was a little, well, gaga over her green beau.
""He's been a really good date," she said. "It's our first date, but we've been eyeing each other for a while."
Kermit is clearly still a fan, even though their brief dalliance didn't end up working out.
"What an incredible opportunity," Kermit told ABC. "We have a long history with Ms. Gaga, so we jumped at the chance to do a holiday special with her. We won't even mind if she mistakes some of the Muppets for pieces of her wardrobe—again."
Don't tell me you guys forgot about the time she wore her ex—and many of his green brethren—as an (awfully macabre!) outfit! Love can make us do some crazy things...
