Lou Reed Gets All-Star Tribute From My Morning Jacket, Neil Young
At Neil Young's annual Bridge School Benefit concert in California Sunday night, the iconic singer-songwriter teamed with My Morning Jacket's Jim James to lead an all-star tribute to Lou Reed, who passed away earlier that day at age 71.
With Elvis Costello and Jenny Lewis providing backup vocals, MMJ & Neil delivered a lovely, touching cover of the Velvet Underground's classic Loaded closer, "Oh! Sweet Nuthin'." Watch the heartfelt tribute to the most influential figure in underground rock above, and check out the 10 Best Lou Reed Covers from David Bowie to Duran Duran.
