Billie Joe Armstrong and Norah Jones' Everly Brothers Album Now Streaming
Last month, we told you about Norah Jones and Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong teaming up as Foreverly, a collaboration that found the duo covering Everly Brothers' 1958 album Sounds Our Daddy Taught Us. The album won't be officially released until November 25, but fans and curiosity seekers can head over to the album's Amazon page and stream the entire thing from now until the release date.
As Armstrong told Stereogum last month, we have Stevie Wonder to thank for the collaboration. "We sang together with Stevie Wonder and a whole bunch of people, that's how Norah and I first met," Armstrong said. "I got into the Everly Brothers’ record a couple years ago and I thought it was just beautiful. I thought it would be cool to remake the record because it was sort of an obscure thing and more people should know about it. But I really wanted to do it with a woman singing because I thought it would take on a different meaning."
