One Direction's resident Irishman (and only blond) is likely the most famous person to come out of Mullingar, a small Irish town with a population of just over 20,000. According to the Irish Independent, the town is issuing a limited edition Gar (their "tourism currency") featuring Niall's face to honor the singer and all of his accomplishments.

The Gar is essentially a discount voucher that tourists can present to businesses in the town for incentives on local shopping, attractions and hotels. Former famous faces on the Gar include Olympic silver medalist John Joe Nevin and one-time Mullingar resident James Joyce.

Niall's Gar will be distributed in 2014, and Mullingar Chamber of Commerce president Pat Whelan spoke about the distinct tribute. "We are all One Direction fans and we are proud to see one of our young men from the town doing so well for himself," Whelan said before going back to watching this video of One Direction working out shirtless.

Since only 10,000 copies of the Niall Gar will be printed, expect these to make a mint on eBay.
