UPDATE: Governors Ball revealed its full 2014 lineup! Jack White, The Strokes, Skrillex, Vampire Weekend, J. Cole, Phoenix, Interpol, TV on the Radio, Foster the People, 2/3 of the now-defunct Swedish House Mafia (Axwell & Ingrosso) and Disclosure are playing Randall's Island this June 6-8. Niiiiiice.
Less than 24 hours after Coachella confirmed reports that OutKast were headlining this year's two-weekend music extravaganza, the iconic Atlanta duo have been revealed as the headliners of another 2014 music fest.
After they rock both weekends of Coachella this April, Andre 3000 and Big Boi will team up a third time in 2014 at New York's Governors Ball Music Festival. Taking place on Randall's Island from June 6-8, the East Coast festival is currently selling three-day passes for $230. Tickets are available here.
Although Governors Ball hasn't officially announced any other 2014 performers, they're leaking hints via Instagram. So far, they've posted a vintage picture that seems to be of a very young Joaquin and River Phoenix. In other words, expect French pop-rockers Phoenix to hit Randall's Island this summer.
Another Instagram pic just shows TV static, i.e., white noise... otherwise known as the name of Disclosure's collabo track with AlunaGeorge. So expect the British dance duo Disclosure at Gov Ball 2014, too. Keep your eye on the Governors Ball Instagram for further hints.
