Armin Van Buuren Discusses EDM's Future At the GRAMMYs

As the dance categories at the GRAMMYs have become increasingly competitive over the past few years, nominee Armin Van Buuren isn't one to take anything for granted. Fuse caught up with the Dutch producer/DJ and singer Trevor Guthrie on the red carpet of the 56th Annual GRAMMY Awards.

The duo received a nomination for Best Dance Recording for their song "This Is What It Feels Like," a single off Buuren's latest album, Intense

"To even be nominated for a GRAMMY is already something I couldn't have dreamed of in my wildest dreams," Buuren tells Fuse News correspondent Jack Osbourne. "There are thousands and thousands of really great tracks out there, and to be considered one of the best five by the GRAMMY committee is a very, very big honor."

ARMIN VAN BUUREN: "With success comes criticism"

Buuren points out that he never considers music to be a competition, but GRAMMY night is the lone exception. The pair also discuss the "cultural movement" and collaboration at the heart of the EDM community.
