The National Talk First GRAMMY Nod After 14 Years Together

After rocking together for 14 years, Cincinnati-bred indie quintet The National finally got music's ultimate stamp of approval: A GRAMMY nomination! Their sixth LP, Trouble Will Find Me, is up for Best Alternative Music Album alongside new rock faves like Vampire Weekend and Tame Impala. Fuse News anchor Jack Osbourne talked to the guys about their long-awaited nod.

"It's exciting for our parents," jokes member Aaron Dessner. "It felt like validation for them, they finally think we've made it.

"But, no, we're excited about it. We've never been invited to this party and we've been a band for a long time. It's a fun, surreal thing...it's a nice feeling after a lot of hard work. We have an audience and now we have a GRAMMY nomination!"
