Emo and punk bands are noted for decidedly "sad" lyricism, and many love songs are written in the vein of a scorned lover. So with Valentine's Day coming up this Friday, we've tried our best to scrounge up a mix of great emo and pop-punk songs that are a fitting soundtrack for February 14. 

The requisite Weezer and Get Up Kids and Taking Back Sunday songs are present, of course, but we also dug a little deeper to include romantic tunes from Braid, Jawbreaker, the Ergs and more. Fans of modern pop-punk will be happy to see Paramore, Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, The Wonder Years and more in there as well.
