Kurt Cobain Becomes a Comic Book
On April 2, several days prior to the 20th anniversary of the death of Kurt Cobain, Bluewater Productions will release a comic book honoring the life of the Nirvanna frontman.
According to Bluewater, the comic, written and drawn by Jayfri Hashim, recounts Cobain's early life then follows his struggle with fame and drug use.
"Not only is this a great way to understand the importance of his contribution to music, but a great tool for kids to read about him in a different medium," says Bluewater publisher, Darren G. Davis. "Our biography comic books are now taught in schools and libraries for students and reluctant readers."
The publishing and production company specializes in comics and graphic novels. They have previously honored other rock legends including John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Jimi Hendrix and Jim Morrison.
Fans can download the comic book on iTunes or order digital copies, which cost $3.99, on Comic Flea Market.
