Coldplay's "Midnight" Gets the Disco Treatment from Giorgio Moroder

When hitting the club this summer, hearing Coldplay probably won't be at the top of your wish list. But that could all change thanks to a new Giorgio Moroder remix of the band's new single "Midnight." 

The 73-year-old Italian producer takes the brooding track and turns it into a pulsating, eight-minute plus anthem, with synthy crecendos and robotic voice-overs. For anyone sour on Chris Martin's Brit-pop gang, here's a moment where you'll forget he ever tried to "Fix You." 

Moroder's been on a hot streak as of late. Earlier this year he picked up an "Album of the Year" GRAMMY for his work on Daft Punk's Random Access Memories.

Coldplay, on the other hand, are prepping their big return with Ghost Stories, their sixth studio album. They'll play a handful of small theater gigs next month. Stream Moroder's "Midnight" remix below:
