"Price Tag" singer Jessie J has denounced any claim that she is bisexual—despite once dating a woman—and she really wants you to get that.

On April 6, the British singer began tweeting about, "The thing that you tried/did back in the day...the phase you had that is so not YOU anymore? I refuse to feel boxed and judged because of how I felt once! A long ass time ago. Vegetarians eat meat sometimes. Get it. People change."

While she never explicitly stated she was referring to her sexuality, one fan asked her to "get straight to the point," to which Jessie responded, "I fancy/date/love men and only men. Is that 'straight to the point' enough?"

After receiving both support and (a lot) of flak from followers, the "Domino" songbird followed up with a mini-essay directly addressing her sexuality. "I never lied about my sexuality, I never labelled myself, the media and some of the public did," she wrote. "I have dated girls and boys. Quote me! Which I had! Am I denying that...? No! I was young and I experimented! Who hasn't?"

Jessie continued to reveal her overall thoughts about sexuality, explaining that while she "fell for a person who happened to be a girl, every other relationship I’ve had has been with a man." While that's understandable, her next statement raises a lot of red flags.

"I see my fans becoming who they are and it's amazing!" she wrote. "Whatever sexuality they chose, or have chosen, love is love... I did and still do stand for love who you love, whichever gender that is."

While that's hardly a message of hate, it still finds the British singer-songwriter stating that sexuality is a choice. Many of her Twitter followers attacked that controversial statement, with some even positing she was "a user of the LGBT community" from the start.

The singer ended her speech by saying, "Now off to the studio I go to finish my 3rd album." Jessie J's sophomore album is still yet to drop stateside.
