Fans will need to wait a little longer to see Miley Cyrus riding a giant hotdog: The singer is postponing a slew of tour dates thanks to an "extreme allergic reaction to" antibiotic Cephalexin. And she wants you to know it's not from extreme partying, drugs, depression or anything else, mmmk?
Peep the official statement that Miley tweeted today:
To catch you up to speed: The "Adore You" singer postponed her Charlotte, NC, show on April 8 due to a flu. After taking antibiotics for it, she's now sicker than ever, tweeting that she's "mizzzzzeraaabbblleeee" in the hospital and that's she's "meant to be onstage performing for y'all.... not laying in a hospital bed." Each sad tweet was accompanied by a lot of crying cat emojis.
Her defensive tone is a response to Internet rumors that she's unstable, but those same rumors were following her around when "Wrecking Ball" came out and that song became a No. 1 smash.
Since releasing the statement, Miley has postponed Friday's Nashville show and Saturday's Louisville concert. With the reaction lasting "five to 27 days," will Miley be postponing more shows? Here's wishing her a speed recovery!
