If you need a reminder of Nirvana's worldwide impact over the last 20 years, just take a look at this video from Muse's headlining set at Lollapalooza Brazil this past weekend.
"We've been together for 20 years," Muse lead singer Matt Bellamy declared to the massive crowd. "Someone great died 20 years ago. This next song is for Kurt Cobain." The dramatic British rock band then launched into a ferocious cover of Nirvana's "Lithium," which had the South American crowd singing every word in unison.
Interest in the grunge forefathers doesn't seem to be waning any time soon. Recently, Courtney Love spilled plans for a Kurt Cobain musical; the singer's hometown of Aberdeen, Washington erected a weird, weeping statue; and this week, the band will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
