The entire world has been anticipating the follow-up to Adele's diamond-certified 21 album for years, so any news about it is big news. And it looks like we may know the title and when we can expect to hear it!
Just before May 5 last night—today is the British songbird's 26th birthday—the "Skyfall" singer posted a rare Twitter update with the following selfie:
Bye bye 25... See you again later in the year x pic.twitter.com/HEmY14El5s— Adele (@OfficialAdele) May 4, 2014
As anyone familiar with Adele's discography knows, her past albums were titled 19 and 21 as timestamps of her experiences from those ages. And both albums were released when the English singer was a year older—20 and 22, respectively. So a reference to "25...see you again later in the year" may very well mean we'll get an album titled 25 "later in the year."
There's certainly been no shortage of inspirational material in her life since Adele found true love in boyfriend Simon Konecki, gave birth to her son and became a bonafide superstar following the release of 21.
