Coldplay Play "Magic," Smooch Andrew Garfield on 'Saturday Night Live'

The closer we get to the release of Coldplay's Ghost Stories, the further Chris Martin distances himself from "conscious uncoupling" and talk of his split with Gwyneth Paltrow. The epic make-out session he's now got under his belt thanks to Saturday Night Live doesn't hurt, either.

Last night, Coldplay brought Ghost Stories' second single "Magic" and "A Sky Full Of Stars" to the SNL stage. Avicii didn't join them for the latter track, but this was the first late-night TV performance from Coldplay in support of the new stuff.

Still, Martin totally upstaged himself with one of the goofiest sketches SNL has seen of late. Host Andrew Garfield—the star of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Arcade Fire's latest single—and Martin lip-locked for an epic Spidey kiss of their own.

Looks like Martin's consciously uncoupling just fine.

Ghost Stories will see its release on May 19, and we're betting Coldplay's got a few more rounds at the late night TV rodeo in their future before the record's out. Chances are this may be the last time we see any of them donning a wig for a while, though.
