Imagine Dragons Are Coming to a 'Transformers' Movie Near You

Transformers are getting "radioactive."

Deadline revealed that Grammy Award winning band Imagine Dragons have contributed an original song called "Battle Cry" to the upcoming summer blockbuster, Transformers: Age of Extinction. The song will reportedly play over several scenes of the Mark Wahlberg-starring flick.

But that's not all: Imagine Dragons also worked with the film's composer, Stephen Jablonsky, in writing score music for the latest Transformers film. Similarly, Pharrell and Johnny Marr recently helped Hans Zimmer inject some pop music sensibilities into the score of another money-making franchise, the latest Spider-Man. New trend alert?

This news comes after Imagine Dragons' massive 2013, fueled by their smash radio rock hit "Radioactive." It's not that shocking that director Michael Bay would go for their hard-hitting, immediate sound—it's a perfect match for watching giant robots battle each other.

Earlier this year, the band dropped by Fuse studios and chatted about their rise to stardom and what '90s bands they'd love to write with. Watch the interviews below:
