Raekwon & RZA End Feud, Confirm New Wu-Tang Clan Album Coming Soon
It seems like it's been forever since we were originally promised a new Wu-Tang Clan record for the group's 20 year anniversary... in 2012.
Late last year RZA said Raekwon was holding up the new album, A Better Tomorrow, claiming Rae "...hadn't turned in his verses yet. I don't know if he's still trying to find the vibe of the music. We have to talk about it before it becomes too late. But he hasn't come to the table yet." He later announced that Raekwon would not be on the new album, although RZA told Fuse News he really wanted Rae on the record.
Never fear, Wu-Tang fans: the beef has been squashed. According to the group's official website, the pair have headed to the studio. The post simply reads, "Breaking news: Raekwon and Rza truce: Raekwon scheduled to hit studio to complete verses for album: A Better Tomorrow Details coming!"
Things are still confusing, but at least Tomorrow is looking bright!
As for that other Wu-Tang album, the secretly-recorded Once Upon a Time in Shaolin was recently revealed to include one very unexpected collaborator: Cher. You can listen to a snippet of the diva singing about Wu-Tang right here.
