Avicii's Boston Concert Ends In Mass Hospitalization
An Avicii concert ended in mass hospitalization in Boston on Wednesday night, according to numerous local news sources.
Before the Swedish DJ's three-hour show had wrapped, numerous ambulances were already lined up outside Boston's TD Garden. A Boston EMS spokesperson reported that 36 people were transported to nearby hospitals. An additional 50 concert-goers were treated for conditions at TD Garden, according to the Boston Herald. It seems none of the reported casualties are fatal.
The Boston Globe reports that afflicted concert-goers were treated "after consuming a dangerous substance," and that many of them were minors. According to the Herald, the hospitalized Avicii fans range from 16 to 25 in age.
Avicii himself tweeted about the incident last night, writing, "Just hearing the awful news abt tonight. Its a terrible thing, I rly hope everyone is ok! My thoughts go to those affected & their families."
Just last month, 29 people were hospitalized during Avicii's sold-out show in Toronto.
