Ever wanna date like Katy Perry? Probably not actually—her marriage to Russell Brand fizzled out after a little over a year, and the John Mayer situation doesn't look too promising. But if you do, the pop stars delved deep into her love life in her Cosmo cover story, exposing surprising secrets along the way.

"I guess I happen to be attracted to high-frequency men," Perry divulged. "I carry a lot of rose quartz, which attracts the male. Maybe I need to calm it down with the amethyst."

What does that mean for whoopee? "I'm not like Professor Higgins with my sex life. I'm not super strict. For me, the most important thing about sex is connection. If I could bottle up oxytocin—that chemical that's released when you're having sex—and put it in a new perfume, I would do it for sure." So no one night stands. Sorry, beautiful rich men of Earth!

She also goes into detail about her recent past and failed relationships. "It feels like a hundred lifetimes ago, so it's like digging up an old grave. A lot of therapy has happened and a lot of understanding and growth," she said about her divorce to Brand. "Sometimes you have to go through all this s**t to get your grips on life and figure out what the next boundaries in your love life are going to be. You have to go through the mud in order to find that peaceful place. In the long run, it was necessary for me to have more of a teammate."

As for Mayer? "I know it sounds really hippie s**t, but I'm living in the now and not fantasizing about the future or [being] torn up about the past. I'm super Eckhart Tolle," she says of the spiritual author of The Power of Now. "I have a lot of respect for [John] still, and I know it goes both ways. There's no bad blood, but I'm sure there will be inspired songs."

Coincidentally, Mayer recently said he wants his exes to write songs about him, and he's hoping they'll go to No. 1. Let's get this started, guys!
