Lily Allen's Brother Says Her 'Game of Thrones' Story Was "Not True"
There's a sibling spat brewing in Westeros. Or King's Landing. Or one of the unpronounceable cities or apocalyptic landscapes of Game of Thrones. Either way, Lily Allen wasn't offered a cameo on the hit fantasy series. At least that's what her brother, Alfie, is saying.
Alfie Allen—who plays Theon Greyjoy on Game of Thrones—had some choice words about the cameo his sister was rumored to have turned down. "I heard about [the cameo offer]," he tells Vulture. "The only thing I'm going to say on that is that it's not true. And also that Gemma Whalen was always their first choice for the part. And she's fantastic. And that's the only thing I'm going to say about that."
Last month, Lily had claimed that she'd been offered a super-meta cameo part on Game of Thrones, where she'd play Yara, Theon's little sister. She said that she turned down the part due to the incestuous requirements of the role, but for whatever reason, there was a casting miscommunication because it looks like she was never offered the part to begin with.
Hopefully this he-said-she-said row doesn't amount to a legit brother/sister feud. Maybe cousin Sam Smith will enter the fray, too.
