While it hasn't been officially announced by a record label, Cody chatted with The Sydney Daily Telegraph about the record. "It is a smack bang duets (album),” he's quoted saying. "Justin has been a good mate of mine for a while. It's just us writing. He told me he felt like I'd figured myself out and have grown into what he knows I will be so he was like, 'I see you as that guitarist, singer-songwriter you've always wanted to be.' I play all the guitars on the album."
Over the holiday weekend, Bieber wrote on Twitter that there was "big news this month" and mentioned the Australian singer.
Cody added the album will drop in November. Just in time for the perfect holiday gift, right? RIGHT!
This record seems to have been born out of a budding bromance that has seen the two pop stars posting pictures in the studio, hitting events together and sending adorable tweets sent back and forth, like when Justin told Cody on Twitter, "I'm your biggest fan :)" Aww.
The Aussie native also told The Telegraph that he had left his U.S. label Warner Music/Atlantic Records, but it was too early to “make any announcements just yet” regarding his new home. Both Justin and Cody share a manager in Scooter Braun.
Simpson added that he's prepping a solo LP for early next year. And while we're pumped about that, this collaboration LP might have just topped every other album we're anticipating this fall.
