Papa Roach Frontman Says His Uncle Gave Him Herpes, Was His First Kiss

Stop me if you've heard this one before. Papa Roach frontman Jacoby Shaddix is known for his bellowing vocals, face tattoos and bad boy attitude, but the vicious vocalist is adding a new factoid to his list of defining characteristics: his first kiss was with his uncle, who he claims gave him herpes. That's right, folks. Kiss a family member, face the consequences.

Shaddix shared the news in a recent video interview with Hit The Floor Magazine, joking, "It was terrible. Anybody else got herpes? Yeah, you do. Don't lie to yourself. I know you got it, you watching this."

Not all silliness and juvenile antics, the vocalist shared a few kind words for his supporters. "If I've got a message to my fans, it's go be yourself. You know what I'm saying? No matter what's going on out there in the world, believe in yourself and go be yourself, because that's what the world wants from you—is you to be you, and not you to be a copy of somebody else," he explained. "That's what P-Roach is about. We're just us. We're not trying to emulate somebody else or something else. Be yourself and be proud." Awwwww! Watch the full video above.

Papa Roach will release their eight studio album F.E.A.R. (Face Everything And Rise) via Eleven Seven Music in early 2015.
