Earlier this year, we identified Cazzette as 2014's EDM artist to watch. The Swedish electronic music duo (made up of Alexander Bjorklund and Sebastian Furrer) have yet to disappoint and their latest release shows them exploring yet another side of the EDM world. Listen above for their latest song "Blind Heart," premiering exclusively on Fuse.
Incorporating an on-trend house production heard in recent hits by Disclosure and Kiesza, "Blind Heart" falls into the deep house genre with soulful vocals courtesy of producer/songwriter Terri B. Cazzette's latest recalls classic Moby tracks as Terri warbles on the verses, but returns to modern day with its surging buildup and subsequent dance breakdown. The complex dance tracks requires a few listens to fully digest all the brilliant subtitles baked within each verse and breakdown.
Earlier this year, Cazzette dabbled in the house sound with May's "Sleepless," but utilized robotic crooning instead of soulful diva vocals for the lyrics. While the track racked up more than 40 million Spotify streams, we think "Blind Heart" sounds ready to pile up even more plays.
"We're really proud of this one," the duo tell Fuse. "We had a blast in the studio producing 'Blind Heart' and had a great time working with Terri B! We can’t wait to hear what everyone thinks about the song!"
Look out for the Avicii-labelmates currently on tour in the U.S. right now.
