Fall Out Boy Get Experimental With Exotic-Sounding "Immortals" Track

This Tuesday kicks off with a new Fall Out Boy song, so it's already a good morning to us all! "Immortals" is a new track the guys recorded for upcoming Disney animated-robot film Big Hero 6. And if you think FOB teaming up with Disney means the band will tone down the energy, well, think again.

Quickly, fans will notice that "Immortals" leads our Chicago boys into new sonic territory. A piccolo blasts into the listeners' headphones and quickly gets mixed in with some trappy snare drums. Quickly, we're back to our typical FOB with Patrick Stump's impassioned vocals ripping over this exotic beat with the band's bass, drums and guitars all soon becoming just as present.

"Immortals" does come with a music video where we get to see the guys—including Pete Wentz's new blonde hair—but the majority of the vid focuses on what looks like a futuristic vinyl record playing on an industrial turntable.

"Immortals" is the latest experimental track we've heard from the Chi-town band. Earlier this month, we found out what an EDM-ified Fall Out Boy sounded like on Steve Aoki collaboration "Back to Earth." Is this new track indicative of more experimenting on FOB's end or are they trying out a few new things before the new album? We're cool with either.

Listen up for "Immortals" in Big Hero 6 when it comes to theaters November 7.
