It's that time of year again! The nominations for the 2015 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame are here and there are a few surprising potential inductees.
Kraftwerk and Joan Jett & the Blackhearts are up for induction this year, as are pop-punk prodigies Green Day, the Smiths, hip hop legends N.W.A., Lou Reed, Nine Inch Nails and Sting. Classic acts like the Marvelettes, the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, the Spinners, Stevie Ray Vaughan, War and Bill Withers have also been nominated.
Starting today through December 9, you, your friends and your friends' friends can vote by clicking here. This is the third year in a row fans have been able to participate in the voting process alongside music industry professionals. Cool, right?
Last year The E Street Band, Nirvana, Brian Epstein, Peter Gabriel, Daryl Hall & John Oates, Kiss, Andrew Loog Oldham, Linda Ronstadt and Cat Stevens were inducted. To be eligible for 2015, each act had to have released their first recording pre-1989. Yup, Green Day have been a band that long. Get voting!
