Eminem Channels Horror Flick Vibes on "Psychopath Killer"

Few people can pull off an iconic sample ripped from the murderous reaches of a horror movie soundtrack, but leave it to Eminem to do the job and do it well.

"Psychopath Killer"—a title that could double as one for a scary picture—is the next track to drop from Shady XV, and it works in the creepy utterances similar to the ones you've come to know from the pre-stabby scenes of Friday the 13th. (You know, those koo-koo-koo-ah-ah-ah-ch-ch-ch-es and what-not, except here they're literally whispers of "KILL KILL KILL.")

Ominous minor chords and echoes perforate Yelawolf's haunting lines and Slaughterhouse's verses, and by the time Em clocks in on the track, the tension is just as palpable as it would be before any good slasher flick's climax.

This marks the most recent collaboration between Em and the rap gurus, as both Yelawolf and Slaughterhouse have teamed up with Slim Shady in the past. Shady XV will see its official drop on November 24, and between its provocative cypher and serious star power on hand, it's set to be one of the most talked-about Shady releases yet.
