It's been just over a year since Pusha T dropped his critically acclaimed My Name Is My Name album—or "Hip Hop Album of the Year," according to the rapper. Thirteen months later, his self-assurance hasn't waned a bit as witnessed on new track "Lunch Money," which was produced by Kanye West.
Over Ye's spastic, electronic production that we're likening to how hanging out in a Las Vegas casino on acid would sound, Pusha offers cocky lines like, "This is crime by design, if the crown ain't mine, tell me who am I behind?" and "I'm the only dope boy quotable." Hey, hip hop, you listening to this?
Earlier this year, Pusha talked to us about reuniting with The Neptunes for his upcoming King Push album. While he added that he's "not rushing it," hopefully this new cut is indicative of an exciting, experimental sound for the forthcoming record.
Look out for King Push to likely drop in 2015 and in the meantime stay satiated with this excellent cut below.
