Original Story: Last week Sia shared her highly anticipated video for "Elastic Heart," an intense interpretative dance piece featuring Shia LaBeouf and her blonde-bobbed mini-me, 12-year-old Maddie Ziegler. It's the latest single from her platinum-selling sixth studio album, 1,000 Forms of Fear, one equally as kooky and creative as its single, "Chandelier."
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Ziegler shared that she will perform alongside the secretive singer on Saturday Night Live January 17. "I’m probably gonna dance. Every time I do a talk show or something, I’ll be like, 'I’m doing "Chandelier," right?' and they’re like, 'No, you’re doing a skit and three dances,'" she revealed. "It’s different every time. I never really know what I’m doing until the day before."
If the upcoming performance is anything like "Chandelier," it's sure to spark internet parodies and more bizarre performances, like their impressive Ellen skit or Lena Dunham's interpretive rework of the now iconic video. "Chandelier" even got the proper SNL treatment back when Jim Carrey and Iggy Azalea donned flesh-colored leotards and tried Maddie's dance moves on for size.
We may have reached peak "Chandelier," but "Elastic Heart" and its vid certainly haven't worn out their welcome.
