So far we've heard the Weeknd and Ellie Goulding's contributions to the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack (the sexy "Love Me Like You Do," the super duper sexy "Earned It"), and today it's Sia's turn. The "Chandelier"-singing GRAMMY nominee's "Salted Wound" is a dreamy, achy song that sounds exactly like two lovers (BDSM or otherwise) drifting sadly, inevitably apart. Listen here:
After book-to-film blockbusters like Divergent, The Hunger Games and Twilight, Fifty Shades of Grey has followed suit with its own superstar soundtrack. In addition to Sia, the Weeknd, and Ellie Goulding, the movie and the accompanying album will feature Beyoncé, Skylar Grey, Jessie Ware and the Rolling Stones. Also appearing in Fifty Shades, although as an actress? Rita Ora.
At the 2015 GRAMMYs, Sia's got four chances to win, all for "Chandelier": Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Best Music Video. Dare we hope for a new clip for "Salted Wound"? Sia's recent "Elastic Heart" video was almost as stunning as "Chandelier," after all—and it once again featured teen dance prodigy Maddie Ziegler, plus some Shia LaBeouf.
