Hot off the surprise autumn leak/release of her long-awaited debut album Broke With Expensive Taste, 23-year-old Harlem rapper Azealia Banks is posing for Playboy's April 2015 issue. The rumor came true on Wednesday when the magazine shared a preview photo by Ellen Von Unwerth. Playboy writes that Banks will star in a “frisky pictorial that’s sure to break the Internet,” plus a "no-holds-barred interview" with Rob Tannebaum, who once conducted an infamous interview with John Mayer for the mag.
It's an interesting time for Azealia to do a Playboy cover, having just visibly returned to a musical focus after a years-long phase of pure internet-trolling antics and Twitter beefs with every single person in the music industry. (She did release the dope Fantasea mixtape along the way, though.)
Azealia Banks' Broke With Expensive Taste was one of Fuse's top 40 albums of 2014. The rapper's done photo shoots for everyone from GQ to SPIN to Vibe. Her "212" video has racked up 84 million views since September 2011. Which brings us to the question: Did Azealia her Mickey Mouse sweater to the Playboy set or not?
