The award nominations keep pouring in for Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Iggy Azalea and Sam Smith, who have seen varying amounts of GRAMMY love and BRIT Awards recognition lately. Today's 2015 iHeartRadio Music Awards announcement reveals that Azalea and Smith have five nominations apiece, and Swift and Grande have four each. (For Artist of the Year, country singer Luke Bryan is also in the fray against these four.)
Categories at the iHeartRadio Music Awards include Best New Artist (Bastille, Cole Sindell, Iggy Azalea, Meghan Trainor, Sam Smith), Best Lyrics, Best Fan Army, and the brand new Renegade Award, which honors "an emerging standout artist that defies convention and breaks boundaries" and features Charli XCX, Hozier, Meghan Trainor, Iggy, and Brantley Gilbert in the running.
The second annual ceremony takes place March 29 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles; NBC will broadcast the event.
Fan votes are an integral part of the iHeartRadio Music Awards, with more than 65 million votes being cast for the inaugural event in 2014. Performers for the ceremony will be announced soon—stay tuned to Fuse for all the details, and hit Billboard for the full nominees list.
