Whether as Diddy, Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, Sean Combs or whatever other monikers he's no doubt deployed, you can't deny the man has produced some classic hits in his 25 years in the industry. From "Big Poppa" and "I'm Going Down" to "Honey" and "Come to Me," Puff's crafted some incredible bangers. After years of focusing more on his clothing, alcohol and television ventures (barring his incredible Diddy – Dirty Money side project), the mogul is back to what he calls his "first love": music. (Cîroc wasn't your first love, Didd?!)
The Bad Boy Records founder took to Instagram to announce his return to music. He'll act as producer to a slew of talents including Kanye West, Pusha T, the Weeknd, A$AP Ferg, Cassie, the Lox and "many more" that'll be announced in due time. Puff also shared a pic of him working alongside fellow producer/guru Timbaland.
Diddy included the hashtag #MMM on his photos, which is either the title of the album he announced a year ago or just an expression of that fact the he finds this whole development very very tasty. Bonus: he's going back to "Puff Daddy" for the record.
But there's a caveat: Puff wrote that he's back in the biz for "12 months only!" So looks like we should expect MMM and Diddy-approved tracks either this year or in early 2016. You can probably expect him to lay down some verses for a few artists or a couple remixes too.
You can get a taste of the star's latest work on Kanye's "All Day," where Diddy produces alongside 'Ye, French Montana, Velous and Charlie Heat. (The track's also got contributions from Paul McCartney, Kendrick Lamar, Theophilus London, and newcomer Allan Kingdom. Talk about busy.)
