For Trekkies, the final frontier is apparently your local concert hall.
The music of Star Trek will be celebrated in a huge concert tour kicking off in January 2016. Star Trek: The Ultimate Voyage will feature a live symphony orchestra performing tunes from the iconic franchise, including music from the TV series, films and even video games. The symphony will play in front of a 40-foot screen projecting footage from the series' iconic moments.
The tour coincides with the 50th anniversary of Star Trek's 1966 debut on NBC. Despite losing one of its original icons when Leonard Nimoy (a.k.a. "Spock") passed away on February 27, but this new tour continues to show the franchise remains strong.
The Ultimate Voyage will play more than 100 stops in America and Canada throughout January to April 2016. Live long and prosper (and buy your tickets as soon as possible).
