#1Pulp, "Common People"

Pulp might not have the legacy of Blur or Oasis (depending on who you ask; devout Anglophiles usually go in deep on the pop group's influence) but "Common People" feels like the one song that could define the Britpop movement. It deals with notions of class systems in a way that other songs only attempted to do, in a way that embodies the entire era of post-Thatcher England.
